About this installation

This commercial project involved the design and installation of a modular wheelchair access ramp at a church in Wigan. The existing entrance featured two raised steps with no handrail, making access impossible for wheelchair users and extremely difficult for anyone with limited mobility.

We specified the Enable Access Welcome Ramp System — a fully modular solution that can be configured to virtually any layout, with a choice of rail styles and colours to complement the existing building. The system was designed to sit sympathetically against the historic brick façade without requiring any permanent structural alterations.

The installation was completed in a single day with minimal disruption to the building. The finished ramp provides a safe, compliant, and attractive step-free route into the building for all visitors.
